Our Government forgot a long long time ago that they are in their present position to SERVE the American people not to rob us blind. We the people need to do everything within our power to bring this spending spree to a stop. I encourage everyone to write your Congressman, the President our Senators and above all pray for God's mercy. Our country is not the richest and it won't be long before we are not the strongest. We are servants to those we owe money to. 'The borrower is servant to the lender.' I know the one sure fire way to help our economy was to put money back into the working class hands. If you had an extra 500. a month would you spend it? I know I would. Our country and society as a whole live oon credit and think that credit is what makes us strong. Living debt free, owing no one is what make us strong. We need to eliminate debt not drown in it. Make your voice heard, write and even call them or email them whatever it takes. They need to hear our voices. I believe this will only end when the people rise up and take back control of our country. POLITICIANS- blood sucking insect. Vote them all out and vote in all new non lawyers. Business men could run this country better than the crew ripping us off. Well not the auto business men obviously. I say we need to split the country in half. All those that debt is the answer go live on the west coast and the rest of us will live on the east and vote in someone else.

no one really knows what would happen if someone else was in office i cant complain to much because i voted for him and i think things will turn around what no one seems to understand is that things will get worse before they get better the people that got the bailout messed up as well because they where supose to take that money and make it so people can get loans with a low intrest but insted the banks took the money and bought other banks insted so that just made things worse on the people. so this should not all be on the presedent or the goverment there are other people in this mess up as well.

Good day.. What's the sense in the saying " to earn money one must spend money". So if one spend on touring the world does it bring money to America? I mean how if ever? For me to earn money is to earn it and keep it.

Well, I wish america could had given the money they voted for to release to the american people. They should have offered loans with very low interest and not to the big companies that spent the money on everything else. As you can perhaps think about this logically, things start small and it gradually will work it's way up. That means that it has to start from someone small and that is the people, the general population and should not have been given to the companies who was unwise enough to manage such big wig corporations.

It doesn't surprise me that this passed. I'm glad some Democrats are finally seeing the light although a lot of them who complained still voted along party lines. We can't spend ourselves out of this. "You need to spend money to make money" applies to start-ups. This is not a company but a country. And whatever spending might actually create money is greatly outweight by useless and frivolous spending that only serves one outcome, to get us further into debt. Wasn't frivolous spending what got us into this mess in the first place???

You've heard that age old saying, "you've got to spend money to make money". With this kind of spending, I expect trillions and trillions of dollars to start pouring in. If not, and this is a bad investment, God help us all...

Well Just pumping in trillions of dollars is not going to help the economy. The thing needed now is a far sighted plan. A plan which involves methods and ways to improve the economy in long term and prevent such occurences in the future.

The Central Committee is out to secure as much for themselves and their friends as possible. People say that Bush and the Republicans spent like drunken sailors, and well.. they did... but it looks like The Central Committee is out to out Bush Bush! ;~D
