Never eat everything on your plate. Yes, I know that a lot of us were raised not to waist any food, but leaving a bite or two on your plate really helps you to lose weight without trying to hard. You don't really miss that bite or two, but you eat a lot les throughout the day without even realizing it.

dieter - shows a dieter weighing herself.
that's what i do most of the time. like a while ago i just finished dinner. the usual serving of 1/2 cup of rice was not all eaten up and the 2 servings of longgonisa didn't get to be that way. i ate only one.

I start drinking only water for my beverages. It's amazing how fast the sugar and calories add up when you are consuming juice, soda, coffee, even milk.

actually, i love drinking coffee and i'm not that fat. 5' with 102 lbs. on my frame and i'm 34 with a child. you see, i like taking it black. no cream, no sugar. but i take something sweet with it. the moment my 15 minute cold coffee runs out i stop eating the sweets.

there r many common sence tips that i can give to u , but the most easy and affective one is having a balanced diet . also i would like to suggest that u should exercise regularly . if u can exercise, at least u should walk for some distance daily , and u should also get up early in morning and sleep early in night this will also help in keeping u fresh.

Everything in moderation and never deprive yourself. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables as well as food from all the food groups. Avoid bread that reads made with "enriched white flour." Exercise everyday, even if you are only walking. Your body needs to move to burn calories. If you have a desk job, make sure you get up every hour to stretch your muscles and walk around.

it is acually easy to lose weight...all you have to do is to find the courage of feeling hungry for most of the day. For example, stay away from foods that are rich in carbohydrates (white bread, sweets, processed foods) and try going on some lighter stuff like vapor cooked veggies, corn etc. Let me point out that meat is not your enemy if you intend to lose weight as long as it's beef or chicken/turkey and you don't add souses and all other weird hypocal stuff on it. Just sprinkle a little salt...same for the veggies. A bit of olive oil and vinegar are also ok to pump up the flavor. No sweets, no super spices, and if you really feel hungry try eating a raw carrot or apple instead of who knows what! good luck

Oh..I almost forgot...physical exercise is ok but do not overdo it. Doing too much physical exercise all at one time makes your body release adrenaline, an anabolic hormone that practically helps you put on weight instead of loosing it. Don't forget the human body requires approx 1000 to 2000 kcals a day only to sustain the normal physiological functions such as heartbeat, respiration, nervous system. so if you plan well how much you eat, you can lose weight simply relying on your metabolism. Don't forget obesity and all diseases associated to this condition are so called diseases of the developed countries -- so there is no need to explain why.

If these tips aren't common sense, then i don't know what is. Remove the fat when eating pork chop, do not drink milk that has no "non fat" on it's label, use the stairs and quit using the elevator, 1 cup of rice is 1 cup not 1 and a half cups, buy diet Coke.

oops..watch out for all the so called diet products, as sometimes they are worse than they sound. The artificial sweetners they add to diet products such as diet coke are not necessarily good for your health, even though the calories are more limited. The quantity of what you eat is much more important...drinking a glass of whole milk in the morning is ok, drinking a liter of low fat milk is terrible.
