I mentioned earlier how nice the weather was getting but spoke too soon. Immediately after admiring how nice it was we were blasted with 32cm of snow. It looked beautiful but bummed me out a bit. I got over it though. :) That snow is all but gone now, it went from 14 below to 12 above in just a couple of days so now I am back to admiring how beautiful it is out and I am thinking about my backyard garden again. This year we are doubling the size of our garden. It still won't be a big garden as my health holds me back but each year I get stronger and our backyard gets better. I won't tell you want I am putting in my garden this year but I would love to hear what your plans are for this growing season. What are you planting in your garden this year, both flowers and veggies, please.

Excellent choices. I had forgotten about spinach, thanks I will be adding that to my list. I have never tried growing broccoli but we love it so I will check and see if it grows here in New Brunswick Canada. I think we are heading to the nursery today to buy some of the things we will be needing for this season. Even though I will grow herbs outdoors I am buying a few items that will help me grow herbs indoors as well, close to the cooking area.

Oh, tons of stuff. The hard part's fruits, 'cause they're harder to get ahold of than veggies. We're trying out alot of things we never tried before too. I'm hoping that the garden huckleberries'll live. We recently got a black rasberry bush for free too. Several kinds of tomatos, peppers, melons, we've got some edible flowers, couple kinds of corn, squash, beans, cucumber, not to mention various things like brocoli, eggplant, rhubarb, zucchini, and such. One acre total. Bigger than anything I've attempted before. It's technically...a microfarm, instead of a garden ^_^ The biggest challenge will be pests, prolly. We've a massive inefestation of june bug larvae =(
