I've been sending emails with delivery confirmations and read receipts for some time now. I know it must be annoying to the receiver of the email but I was just tired of hearing "I never received that email."
Do you have this problem? Do you have people who constantly tell you they don't receive your emails? What do you do about it?

Nah, I don't like to get a delivery notification when I email them. Most of the time I don't use Outlook to send or recieve emails and I don't know if yahoo or gmail has this facility of deliver confirmation, do you know?
I have used it in my office and it indeed was very very helpful as the person can't get a corner where he can say that he/she didn't get that email.

Hi sanuanu...I just checked on yahoo and couldn't find anything that sets a delivery confirmation.

Hi sanuanu...You're absolutely right - that person on the receiving end cannot say that he / she didn't receive the email when you have proof! That's exactly the reason why I do it now! Thanks for the response.

Hi pat...I don't use them for personal emails although one response is making me wonder if I should sometimes. However I do use outlook for work and always use that feature. It saves me much time and headache because I can now tell the recipient that he / she received the email at such a time. Thanks for the response.

It depends, I use the delivery confirmation receipt when send personal emails from my home address and at work I only use it in certain cases. Usually when this is important and when I'm waiting for an answer so that I can know that the recipient saw the email and if I don't receive a reply I would know that he ignored it or will make some excuse. From some email clients, like Gmail you don't receive a confirmation that email was read and in that case you cannot use it either.

Hi dolphin...I'm just the opposite...I use the confirmation only at work. I haven't even thought of it at home, although for certain emails it probably is a good idea. Thanks for your response.

Hi shi...You're absolutely right. I do have congestion in my inbox sometimes. I usually go through it once a week and clear some of the mail out. But I'll still have the confirmation because at least I can say that the email was received. Thanks for the response.
