please give an example to this one that would explain it further.

One of the DON'Ts on mylot guidelines in posting a discussion states: Post discussions soliciting a response for a response example: “+” rating for a response Can you give another example to better explain that so I would not fail to follow that rule. I am looking forward with your help here because one of my discussions was accused to have violated that rule. Please help me see the light at the end of the tunnel. It will definitely be appreciated.

I guess it means, dun beg, dun ask, dun request, dun trade, dun exchange, with each other upon giving or awarding a positive respond.. It means that, one should not ask for a positive rating even though they had replied to your post, and that u should not feel obliged to rate them positive in return.. IN short, it just means, dun mention anything about positive/negative ratings, and u should be safe ^_^

for my understanding I think it is going against the rules. I thought we was not aloud to ask people to do that.

Where you are not aloud to ask others to rate you. You can't tell them to hit the plus or minus button on you.

If you state in a discussion or in a response: "Please plus me", "Please rate me", "Please give me BR" or something similar then you would be violating that rule. You must NOT ask others to rate you.

That is how I understand that too. But there was this member I violated that rule when I said I should give my Best response in such a way like "whoever has the same favorite such as mine would receive it. What do you think? Is it a violation of that rule?

Choosing a best response is very personal. When starting a dicussion you should not state 'I will give BR to whoever does/say this or that'. Seeing as myLot is for discussions, those that are questions like 'what is your favorite ice-cream/pizza/day of the week etc' are NOT discussions and get removed anyway.

Now I understand... but if my discussion would be deleted then what I did was not a violation at all. I hope

I think the rule basically says dont say I'll give you this or if you do this you might get this for responding to my discussion.

I've understood it the if you respond I'll plus you is bad but theres a few discussions I've seen deleted that said if you respond you might get the best response. That one doesnt happen very often but i've seen them get deleted if someones being real petty about it.

To be honest the second one youve mentioned is what I understand about this rule.
