Right now I drive a dodge dorango. My husband has a 3rd gen rx7. Someday we will get a different one but for now these will work until we do. My husband will sell his car because it is a 2 seater and the kids won't be able to ride in it. It is time for econimc needs. I think a little geo metro would be great for gas. We have one but Joe has to get it running. Ours gets 40 miles to a gallon when it runs.

I have always driven cars that are big and loved them. I bought a Jeep Cherekee and it was a v6 and got decent mileage. However, I have been told that a car with a 4 cylinder engine is better on gas. I think that all cars are different though as far what kind of mileage they get. My husband has a big high top van that is a v8 engine. When we take long trips on the open road this van gets about twenty or better miles to a gallon. When he is traveling in the city where there are tons of stop signs he only gets about seventeen or eighteen miles to a gallon. I did have a four cylinder car once and I blew up the engine. It seems that they need to be warmed up before taking off. I do have a bad habit of driving a car hard and little cars with a four cylinder are not for long driving trips. They don't seem to hold up. If I had to choose a car that is good on gas and comfortable I would still choose a Jeep Cherekee with a six cylinder engine. It is a good hard working vehicle and people seem to keep them a good long time. I hope that this information helps you choose a car that is right for you. I do recommend that you drive the vehicle you choose to make sure you are comfortable behind the wheel. Do not buy a car just for mileage but also because you like the looks and style as well. Make a decision based on lots of information.
