I have been looking at the 4th generation ipod nano now for quite a while. I am very interested in buying one, however I am not sure if it is a good choice. How is it? Does it get scratched easily? What about for watching movies?

Its only unique feature is the real-time flipping of the screen. If you're just after the music and videos to watch, then it's not a good buy unless you don't own an iPod yet. But if you do, just stick to it or consider buying an iPod Touch because I think that's a better option. It has more new features than just another iPod nano gen.

How many GBs are you planning on buying? (iPod nano's come in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, etc). Just so you know, I don't think the 1-8GB ones allow for you to play videos. Make sure the one you choose is video-capable, and remember that you have to BUY the movies from iTunes to be able to watch them (which is kind of a drag, if you ask me). As far as the scratching goes, you just have to be CAREFUL with it to avoid this happening. I'd recommend buying a case for it - so that you don't have to worry about this. I like iPods, but they're so expensive, and after about 8 months, the batteries start to drain VERY quickly. I'd suggest to buy a cheaper brand if you didn't want that movie feature. Good luck with whatever you decide!
