My mother cooks often most of our meals and she puts a little sugar (just a little, about a teaspoon) especially when she is cooking vegetables. She mentioned it will make it taste the vegetables are still fresh enough. And I like it the way she cooks it...

I often put a little of fish sauce in meat, that make meat taste and smell better. For seafood, I replace this sauce by powder of cinnamon.

as other told u can add little sugar in gravy curries, taste will be beter and u can be well presented for ur guests. i also like cardomom in tea. tastes good. we should wash vegetables before peeling and cutting. then we can retain vitamins and minerals.we should also less peel for any vegetable. and we should also soak potato, brinjals, raw banana in water after cutting.otherwise we will get black colour for those cutted vegetables. we should not throw away vegetables boiled water. we can use them in soups or can add in chapathi dough,or use in in any gravy curries or use in other ways. then we dont loose any vitamins. for cutted apples staying long, we should apply lemon juice on cut surface of apple. in muslin cloth or in any newspaper we should store any leafy vegetables and should put in refrigerator.they will stay long time. we can also wrap fruits and vegetables in newspaper and can store in refrigerator ,and can store for more days. we can store green chillies for more days, when we remove stems of them. when we soak almonds for 10min ,we can get peel more easily. when we soak ,half cut onion in water,we dont get tears while cutting onion. to make crispy poori's we can add riceflour in dough. for making crispy pakoda's we should add 2 spoons hot oil and baking soda in dough. and many more tips i have got from my mother and grand mother. and so i like home made food.

Hi friend, surely tea will taste very well if we add cardamom with it, always i add salt while boiling vegetables like potato, carrot and others, it will help to boil the food within a short time. Steamed foods are always good for our health, we can add lemon juice and a spoon of sugar with vegetable or fruit salads to make them more tasty and delicious
