Is a drug test required when giving blood

This is a hypothetical question as I'm not a drug abuser nor do i plan on giving blood.

It is not hypothetical question. Be careful when you are giving your blood to anybody. Proper test is needed before transfering blood. Otherwise diseases also get transfere between the two person.

Well they generally ask you if u are suffering from any conditions like TB, typhoid etc before givin blood. I think they do test for bein on safer side!
