Happy Birthday!!! My birthday is Christmas Eve and it pretty much always gets overlooked by my friends because it is so close to Christmas. When I was little I never felt like I was losing out on anything but now more than I ever I really do. I wish people took the time to atleast call me or something but other than my family that doesn't happen.

Well, Congrats! Mine isn't till July 5th, but my birthdays quit being special along time ago. I think it is when we ou selves quit expecting others to do something. If someone thinks you expect a party,presents,etc. they would probably go the extra mile on your birthdays but if your not fussy about it and tell people often enough not to worry or not to get you stuff then they sometimes stop thinking of to as special too and so don't make a lot of hoopla over it. My sister in law makes a big fuss every year and so she gets the gifts and dinner out and maybe a movie and a small cake and ice cream at home. While the rest of us don't..so most times it passes by without alot of recognition or hoopla. So next year is your 40th..I would if I was you throw alot of hoopla so that it is made special..

Happy Birthday Hope you did have a good day. We usually go out to eat for my birthday, but it doesn't always happen on the actual day, just depends on how busy we are.

I have never really treated my birthday as anything special. I don't normally go out. I have not had a birthday party since I was 19 years old and it was not my idea. Happy Birthday!

Well first of all ersmommy, Happy Birthday!!! and second of all, the older you get, the more it becomes just another day I remember when my cousin and I would buy an outfit and the whole nines. Go home, rest for a bit, cook for the kids and we'd be out. Now it's a not like that. I made 40 last November and it was a nice day and a blessed one for God woke me up to see it. My birthday is the day before my oldest son's birthday. And our birthdays fall in the same week as Mother's Day and my wedding anniversary. If anyone in the house remembers to wish me a happy birthday I feel the day has gone well. Normally all of my holidays are over shadowed by my son's birthday. I'm used to it by now.

I wish you a happy birthday. My last few birthdays, or something, I've said the same things. There was nothing really special, other than the fact that I was a year older. I'm not really sure why, but it's just the way that I've felt about my birthdays. There wasn't really anything special about them, in my opinion.

Happy Birthday to you on your 39th. You are now in the last year of your thirties so it is time to celebrate and think of the delightful year that you will hopefully have. I think that you should do at least one thing that you really enjoy because it is your birthday. I have had birthdays at work just like any other day and special birthdays because of a lovely days outs.

Happy Birthday ersmommy1, My last birthday was also the graduation day of my oldest nephew so my birthday was put on the back burner by everyone else. My birthday this year will be another nephews graduation day so Im sure it will be the same as last year.
