Thank you guys for sharing. It helps me a lot. Vitamin C really helps to us to avoid or fight illness. We can't fight all the illness in this world but we can protect ourselves from them. There's a saying that prevention is better than cure and I believe it is true.

Yes I totally agree with on this as I take vitamin c everyday as well. I take Nutrilite Bio C Plus everyday. And when my body is tired and symptoms of cold is coming like I sneeze and the roof of my mouth gets itchy, I would pop in 4 Bio C Plus which is equals to 1000mg and go and rest. Would take it 4 hourly , drink plenty of water and rest and the cold/fever would not surface. Even if it does, I do not take any other medication but just 1000mg Bio C Plus + rest + plenty of water.....taking vit c is good

I want to substitute the natural intake of Vitamin C by eating fruits and vegetables. But my concern is how can I measure the amount of Vitamin C from the food that is the same amount in the supplement.

Yes, many studies have proven that vitamin C helps to boost your immune system so it's good to take it every day. My husband like orange juice so he gets his vitamin C that way but I prefer to take it in pill form. Too much orange juice gives me heartburn.

yes, it really does help. In fact, during the times of SARS breakout, doctors have recommended taking 1000mg of it. FYI: our body only needs 60mg of vitamin C, any excess will just be excreted by our body because it is a water-soluble vitamin and will not be stored in our body.

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that makes up the matrix of our body. In fact, latest studies have found out that Vitamin C may protect you against immune system deficiencies, heart disease, and even skin wrinkling. Here are some foods that contain naturally occuring Vitamin C in them: -1 cup cantaloupe:59 mg Vitamin C -1 cup cooked broccoli:107 mg Vitamin C -1 medium kiwi:70 mg Vitamin C -1 cup boiled cauliflower:74 mg Vitamin C -1 cup boiled spinach:104 mg Vitamin C -4 pieces fresh tomatoes:52 mg Vitamin C -1 cup fresh mangoes:60 mg Vitamin C Eating a combination of these foods (and others not mentioned here) will help you reach the daily requirement of 500 mg Vitamin C per day. But don't worry if you overeat Vitamin C, your body will just excrete it in urine...=) Happy healthy eating!=)
