If I had a laptop I'd probably be able to go out and use some of the wireless "hot spots" around town, but I'm kind of tied down with my desktop - we just have the wireless so that we can use only one router for running all 3 of the computers

I prefer wireless because I can take the laptop any place in the house and work on myLot while I am cleaning or doing other odd jobs. It is far more efficient than working from a set place. I especially liked it this week when repair people were working outside my home and I could sit next to the window and keep an eye on them still getting my computer stuff done. I even helped them reach an outlet for their saw that they could not reach themselves. It is a much better way to MyLot at least.

Yeah, I do have a WI-FI at home. Many can use the internet at the same. I love this WI-FI because it's much faster than the dial up.

I have wireless internet connection by telecommunication provider, i use my cell phone as modem to connect my netbook to internet. it's quiet fast than dialup service that i use before. With wireless i can go to internet where ever i goes as long i have cellphone signal. This cost me around US$ 10, with unlimited data plan and the speed 65 kbps, it is satisfy me for now, but o eager more speed to download content for internet.

We have both..I feed off of the cable internet for my wireless. It is so nice to have them both. Before we got the wireless both hubby and I were sharing the cable internet and it sucked. We would fight to get to the computer first LOL. But now that we both have a computer it is so much better.. I wanted and needed a laptop for the work I do and it made it so much easier to do anytime I wanted. He knows does his work on the desktop and I do mine on the laptop which I love because now I am able to get online and work while also watching some of my shows.

When you have partner with you and you can share with him so having both options are very good because you won't get any internet problem if one is not work and you can use another one.

I have cable internet downstairs to the main PC, ran through my wireless router, and a wireless USB adapter on my PC upstairs. Overall I think it all works good. I did not want to run a LAN cable through the floor above, so that is why I chose wireless for upstairs.

So you have both cable net as well as wireless so up stair and down stair combination is very good because you browse when ever you want.

I do like to lan type rather than the wireless as it doesn't provide sufficient stability on the network. But still there are huge different in the two.
