I am now 24 years old and i no longer experience asthma attacks. Unlike before, i get attacks whenever i get stressed from school or lack some sleep. I cannot really explain but the treatment i found effective besides rest is my seretide inhaler. Because of my frequent attacks before, the latest specialist who have checked my condition prescribed the highest dose of this purple inhaler. Yes it is expensive but it would last for 2-3months plus the attacks no longer appear. I know i no longer experience the attacks but what other things i can do to ensure it does not come back again? to those who have experienced the same thing, what other alternatives are effective?

I suggest you strengthen your cardiovascular endurance by exercising and drinking a lot water. It helps lessen the occurrence of asthma attacks for me. I used to have a seretide inhaler also but my doctor prescribed me a much cheaper inhaler(which i must about ten times fold cheaper). It similar to the inhaler but instead of using the pump, you load capsules in it. Then twisting the inhaler will break the capsule inside, then you can inhale the contents of the capsule in the inhaler. The name of the product is Rotahaler and capsule is Rotacap. I don't if its available in your area.
