Do you use myLot code in "formatting" your responses? (italics, bold, underline)

I want to use them but sometimes I tend to neglect them. For example, I always wanted to use the underline code but when I'm posting, I would only remember to do it AFTER I clicked on submit the response. D'oh! It really is a Homer Simpson moment whenever I do that. HA-ha. I really like reading people's responses with these kinds of formatting because it emphasizes certain aspects of the post. Also, it shows that he/she puts careful consideration about his/her post aesthetics (it helps to have a nicer-looking post!). So how about you? Do you use formatting in your posts too? Why or why not?

That is true, it does make everything look nice and makes people want to read and find out why that word is bold or why there are italics in the post. But i personally feel that the content would be more of a reason for me to read posts :) Sure if they format it to make it look nicer, then it'd be more of a reason for me to read it of course. I'm just saying in my opinion it isn't exactly necessary. :)

when it's warranted,i do. sometimes it helps to show what you mean about something. as in: that dumpster stinks. highlighting the word amplifies the funk.

I do use the formatting codes as well sometimes. It's mainly when i want to draw attention to a particular part of the post. Of the 3 codes, i tend to use the italics one the most.

Oooh I absolutely adore the Simpsons! Especially Homer! :) I don't really use it though sometimes I do. For example I might write an important thrase or motto, then I would bold it and maybe underline it. I use smileys in my responses now and then but not really the formatting for the writing, as I actually concentrate on my post more.

Thanks for giving me a thought about mylot codes. I use the emote icons most of the time, but I forget to use font type changes (bold, italics, and underline. I concentrate more on answering to the disucssion and not on beautifying it. I think here onwards I should use that because I want people to identify me...oh this is Dalia, by seeing my response. So, I will use a particular font style here onwards. Lol.

I always seem to forget that the code is there, I think I have used the function once in a post, if I remember correctly. I just always seem distracted by the cute emoticons

Hi. Most of the time when I am on mylot, my real concentration is on posting a number of posts or maximizing my posts and these things eat up a bit of time so i rarely use them. It doesn't mean thought that I don't look at what I am typing but I really look to posts as many responses I as can.

MyLot code - what is this? Is it something new? Is it something I was not aware of? Is it something I must learn? Oh I must have been sleeping From now on I will try and insert it always

Hey inky! I guess I forget to use them too! In fact, lately I am even forgetting to use those wonderful emoticons! I guess that I sometimes just get so caught up in typing my response that I just don't think about using the codes and then I go to submit so quickly and like you said d'oh! So, you are so not alone in having a Homer moment! So just for you I'm gonna slow my roll and
