Lets discuss about global warming

well.. it is about time we did some serious thinking because according to a theory there isn't much time left for us.. there was this documentary in discovery channel about a possible doomsday in 2012.. One of the theories in that documentary was pointing towards global warming and the possible melting of glaciers in Antarctica.. Now, i agree that major green house gases comes from factories and vehicle emissions.. we should be looking for a more environment friendly alternative before we all get consumed by it..

I know people who would say that global warming is nothing more than a hoax, in an attempt to fear monger the American population into a technological regression. He even went so far as to note that the polar bears in Antarctica can't possibly be loosing land when the Antarctic is a giant continent. What do you think about that?

Anyone over 50 with half a brain and at least one good eye should be able to look back and know the winters are warmer than they were several years ago. But... in this part of the country the summers are cooler. 1978 is the last winter it has gotten down below 0 F. We have also had very few days in summer it has gotten over 100 F. I know there is a lot more people that are generating a lot more heat now but Mother Nature is a tough ole gal and she has her ways of balancing everything out. If you will watch what happens when things like Global Warming comes up it usually leads to the people being restricted in some way and usually cost us at least some money. All this smog junk they are putting on cars and trucks is costing the heck out of us. It is now a requirement that all this crap be on our cars. I think it is just another case of some people doing what ever they can to get what they want. Most usually it has something to do with money. You must remember this earth has always been in a constant stage of change. It always will be. Art

I think if you want to know about Global warming then must see documentry of Al Gore named as An Inconvenient Truth. After watching this movie you can know how serious problem it is.

No one is caring about global warming, every one is searching his own profit; but it comes a day where life on earth will finish, That will be the biggest human mistake!

To stop the effects of Global Warming we all have to Cooperate not just one or two but everyone has to be part of it many say that is not important but as you may see temperatures are slightly rising and its causing the polar caps to melt and thus increase the ocean water what i suggest is that we all save more energy help plant trees and consume less water and change to some other type of energy there are a lot of different ways to help the environment.

Today's World main issue of only is Global Warming Problem. This is sure that our future is very bad in concern of Climate changes in earth. Today also we experianced of climate change, here in india sometimes is heavy rainfall and sometimes totally dry in rainy season. Now here in india is summer season, so here is heavy heat arount 40 to 45 degree heat is running which is record of so many decades. So we have to control on earth changes, we all grow atleast on tree in our area. We save light, say Electricity, batteries etc. so we only have to protect these important things. so lets join our hands and vote everyone to our Earth.

you can really tell that global warming is occuring i mean look at the weather lately. i do not know where everybody on here is from but where i am from it was 70 one day and two days later it was snowing. like today it was 56 out and now it is supposed to snow tonite. what is this world coming to. snow in the spring. the varating weather.

Global warming will be the cause of human extinction if not some weird virus or a a nuclear holocust. It is inevitable because all nation need to use energy to power not only the economy but human survival (atleast for now). we need to cope up with the changes but trying to stop (or reverse it) will be futile. The G8 should take the initiative in doing this because they are the driving force of this catasthrope.
