Does anyone know if you can freeze cheese?

I have a lot of different kinds of cheese, there was a great sale going on at my grocery store, so I bought a lot of it. It's in small blocks, sharp cheddar, swiss, pepper jack, moz. & more. But, I didn't think about what I was going to do with, I just figured that I would just freeze it. But, I don't believe I have ever done this. Will it be alright if I freeze most of it?
