Joint family or Individual Family

Any families is happy family if there memberes is happy. Family cnsist of members. So if you are happy then your family will happy automatically.

I have lived in a joint family for 10 yrs and for the past 18 months I am living separately with my hubby and child, so I know a bit about both the set-ups. The main problem in a joint is the lack of privacy and personal freedom. You have to think of the other members before doing anything and that means ANYTHING! I don’t know about other joint families, but in my case, my hubby and me used to feel real guilty everytime we had dinner outside…I mean people back home were having the bland food and we were enjoying ourselves outside and its not possible to treat the entire family all the time. Similarly, there are many things that needs to be kept in mind in a joint family in order to maintain peace and harmony at home. However, the biggest plus is that there are always people to help you out…your own people who feel for you and not some hired help. Now that I stay separate, that is the biggest thing I miss coz now, I have to do everything myself.
