Do politicians and members of parliament claim too much money?

Here in England MPs (members of parliament) can claim a lot of tax reductions and it has got so bad now that the government are looking into it as they have been claiming for 2nd houses and television sets and even videos that they watch. All this money is being taken away from the tax payer. Should there be a payment or wage and nothing else?

The fact that Jaqui Smith hasn't resigned shows how thick skinned these people are. Look at the amounts that woman has taken of public finds and spent on her sisters house. The sooner this woman goes the better and I hope the voters have enough sense to vote her out completely. The list in The Sun this morning shows what a mess this whole thing is - this arrogant spendthrift woman spent £200 on a barbeque.

Every Members of Parliament does this where ever country that has the Westminister policy. It is disgusting that they would downbeat a man for paying taxes which in turn they do not do. I am glad your government is putting a stop to this and hopefully that mines as well will do the same.
