When I was little we used to buy Chef Boy R Dee Meatball Stew. It was so delicious! The last time I saw it was on a visit to Michigan about 7 years ago and when I moved back to Ohio it was something I was looking forward to getting. But I can't find it anywhere, I guess they quit making it.
It's just as well, it was probably full of fat and lots of calories. But it was soooo good!!
Have any of your favorite foods been taken off the market?

You'll have to excuse me saying so, but that sounds terrible! I can't stand processed meat products, and if they come in a can they're a million times worse.
Mind you, there's some pretty grim things that I do eat, and in times of weakness hot dog sausages have been known to grace my table.
The product I miss most is Wagon Wheels. You can still buy them, but they're not worth buying any more as there's hardly any chocolate on them! Do you get those in the US?

No, no, it's YUMMY!!
Yes, it's awful for you. As I remember it, it has to have been full of calories, fat and all sorts of chemicals but it was heavenly.
I've never heard of Wagon Wheels, are they anything like chocolate covered pretzels? I love those, but again there are lots of calories.
If it tastes good, it's bad for you. If it's bland or nasty, eat it up cos it's good for you!

Never heard of them making Meatball Stew. Could of been limited distribution too, hard to say. But you know for every new product an old favorite must be pushed aside or disappear.
The one thing I remember that I miss was a candybar in the 80's called a P.B.Max.

I don't remember PB Max but I always liked one called a 7 Up Bar with 7 different chocolate covered fillings--fudge, vanilla, jelly, coconut and in the middle was an almond. Also there was one called Skybar which was very similar.
I wish they wouldn't shove aside old favorites!

I hear ya. I don't recall that one. But so many products come and go, it would be nice if the'd reinvent some of them over again. Like the KFC snacker (I haven't had one yet) appears to be what they called in the 80's chicken littles.

Darn, I was hoping it would be somewhere! Thanks so much for looking! It certainly was a little bit of heaven, I'll always remember the taste.

I haven't heard of Chef Boy R Dee Meatball stew so I can't say whether they still have it down here or not! I know I've never seen it but, when I look for Chef Boy R Dee it's usually for ravioli.
Hmm, I can't think of a food they've stopped making that I like to be honest, but if I think of anything I'll see if I can find this discussion again.

Another person checked and they don't make it anymore. What a shame!
