Jigsaw Puzzles...

What do you do with your jigsaw puzzles when you have finished them? A friend I grew up with used to stick them to a bit of painted wood & hang them in his parents house. I always put mine back in the box so I could do them again in the future. I am going through all my belongings & have found a few 500 & 1000 piece jigsaws that I haven't touched since I was about 10 or 11 & I'm wondering what I should do with them - keep them for when my 2 year old daughter is old enough to do them & let her decide or for me to keep them as is for me or do something artisti with them or sell them. Not sure. This is why I'm asking what you do with your puzzles.

I hang the complete one on the wall. I don't really do jigsaw puzzles, that's why I will 'preserve' which ever I completed. If you didn't know what to do with it, just complete one of it, frame it and sell it on eBay or something.

That's not a bad idea to preserve them & sell them...when you sell on ebay, do you put on it pick up only or do you ship them? If you ship them, how do you do it? I've never shipped something like that before.

I never managed to sell one in eBay, they were taken by my family. But if you need to sell it, make sure it's firm enough. I received a puzzle picture that I ordered online once. They used courier service instead of regular express mail. It's already in frame and very firm. None of the pieces fall apart.

I enjoy them for a day or two then I break them down and pass them on to someone else so they can enjoy it :)

That's great when you can do puzzles all the time - I used to but now I don't have as much time & so I haven't touched mine in years :(

My mother has the puzzles, and she does them and then puts them away to do them again. my husband and I don't have a table in here that the cat won't disturb, so we don't have puzzles in here. We do the virtual ones on the internet though. LOL I think it's obvious what happens to those when we're done . LOL

I know the feeling all too well - when I was a kid, I had a board I'd put on the floor to do my puzzles & my cats would come & sit on the bit of puzzle I was doing or they would play with the puzzle bits - VERY ANNOYING huh?

I simply place them in the box so that I could play with them again the following day. I bet the idea of your friend is real cool.

I don't really do jigsaw puzzles, hardly even but i have done some in my life and we either keep them joint together in the box, or maybe even hang them up, we mostly put them in the box joint together, or take a photograph of it completed then take it all apart and give it to someone else to have a go at :)
