Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and all the other capital hill Socialist love to demand that private corporation take took taxpayer money show some accountability. Well excuse me government is one to talk about accountability with the taxpayers money. Was it not government that gave those failed banks and auto companies the money in the first place? Unless I missed something but all money that D.C waist first came from, oh I do not know a taxpayer.
Remember when AIG gave out 165 million dollars of contacted bonuses? Yeah I am sure you do. All the death threat, the demands, and the bus tour of employees homes, well what about Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae? Executive at Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are going to receive $210 million in bonuses this year. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae did a lot more damage to the economy than AIG ever did yet there is not death threats or demands for executive name. Let us not forget that Freddie and Fannie lost over 100 billion dollars and asked for 15 billion dollars. Oh wait a minute I just figured out the answer Freddie and Fannie are government front companies. So government once again waist more taxpayer money and demand more with less accountability.

Hi gewcew...Other than here on the internet where have you heard about the bonuses for Freddie and Fannie? I have only heard it on talk radio. I haven't seen it on tv at all - yet AIG was all over the news on tv. I think that speaks to the difference.

I do believe the government has the right to let the people know what the money is used for. But of course, it does not work this way, because the government has now taken the place of God. Do you realize why Obama was able to get in, it was part because God is no longer considered head of state, but man is. Therefore man gives money to those who flatter him and those who threaten him. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae got money because they were government controlled and the government seems to think of the population as having deep pockets.

What has been ignored in the whole AIG thing is that a lot of those bonuses went to foreign employees of AIG.
What also is being ignored is that a lot of the bailout money is going to European countries, and not staying here.
We are bailing out other countries with this money.
Freddie and Fannie deserve no bonuses, and Congress deserves no pay increases, but they have no qualms about taking them.
Congress is a failure, and has been for a very long time.
They no longer represent the people, and only want to increase their control and power over us.
