Branded things is always having a good quality. it will last for how many years of service. but the problem is, it is very expensive and only rich people can afford to buy those things. while the cheaper one is very affordable and yet it is not in good quality. after for a couple of days after you must buy again a new one. in this increasing global crisis most people is practical, all they want is the cheaper things to buy. they didn't think anymore of the quality of it. but there are some also still believe that they much save money if they buy the good quality because it will last long. For me i will buy branded things like shoes and jeans only because its my daily wear and it will last for a couple of years. but for those things that is not so necessary i will prefer to buy the cheaper one. how about you what is your opinion on this discussion? do you prefer to buy expensive things than the cheaper one? can you please share your idea with us?

I am not a brand conscious person because of the fact that it is just a material thing that will be ruined later on no matter how durable the quality is--you will grown tired and weary of it no matter how expensive the amount. And besides, people won't praise you every now and then just because you wear a Gucci or a Channel. I am more on the cheaper one. Most of my things are very cheap but I carried on well and look expensive. It is not the brand you are wearing, it is your attitude. If you know how to carry it well, even if it is a cheap one it will look expensive. It is always the person's attitude that matters in the end.

Mine varies. I dont necessarily base it on brand labels. I have tried cheaper object to see how it lasts. I have found some cheaper things last as long as, if not longer than the more expensive ones. However if I find that cheaper brands arent working i will try a brand name to see if it works better. Once I find a tried and true product I dont deviate, unless its a free sample of another similar product. Just to make sure there isnt something better out there.

I also think some of the cheaper objects do last much longer than we expects.

If I really need one, I might as well buy the best one available. Buying something cheap and knowing that it won't last long is like consciously throwing money into the trash bin. We all know that if you get your money's worth so, if you really need something to last long, you might as well get what you can. Of course, there are other brands that are not well known but, still offer what known brands offer as well. Cotinuously buying cheap items after it breaks down on you is simply a waste of time and money. You can even see that you could really buy the good quality items after all with the amount of money you have spent with the sub-class items that you have been buying one after another. So, if its really important, you might as well get the best since you know you would really use it again and again. If its not that important, why not set aside your money and be practical? I mean, if you set aside enough money and want to buy something, who knows? You might have been setting aside money for a long time that when you are actually going to buy something, you have more than enough and the prices have gone down while you were saving for a target amount that the item previously had but not anymore due to new versions or updated items have already become available.

For me both things work. I can go for the original one which is way too expensive but has a good quality. I can also go for the less expensive one which has no assurance in terms of quality. But there are times that the so called original items are not good to buy because they are just so over priced and not practical anymore. At the end of the day it really comes down to your own preference as long as the product is good for you.

For my shoes and clothes, I opt for branded items because of the quality of the material. In my experience, these items lasts for 5 years and still look good. So they actually are worth the money. I see them more of an investment. But I make sure that these expensive branded clothes and shoes are the one that never goes out of style. For the trendy and fashionable stuff that goes out of season after a few months, I just buy the affordable brands. I don't see the reason why I should spend so much on them if I could not use it after a few months.

I prefer to buy the branded ones even though they are expensive. I had this experience with the cheap ones where I only used them with a couple of days then they tear easily. So, I'd rather spend much for branded ones and have quality goods rather than cheap ones that I won't be able to enjoy using.

Depends on what I'm buying. With groceries, I can get away with generic and store brands and you really can't taste a big difference. As for clothes, I prefer some brands which hold up better in the wash and last longer, but I'll try to get them at a Goodwill store where I can buy them for a lot less. I wouldn't skimp on anything required for health reasons either.

I've been buying cheaper stuffs ever since I remember because we really had very little resources.. hehe... It's not always that bad.. Well, you will have to consider some stuffs like, yeah, when you buy a pair of shoes which you'd be wearing daily in school or in work, you'd have to buy something branded which could last for some time. If you're gonna buy slippers which you'd use only inside the house, you can buy some cheaper stuffs... ^_^

Hi cupcyke, good day to you my co-mylotter. Well, for me in my own base opinion, i can say it is really depend to the user of the product because even though the quality and brand of the products is good and trustdd by it's superior durability, but the user is not using it very well there is a big chance that the product may be still easily broken. So it only means that even you buy a low class and not a good brand product, as long as you are using it very well, nice and you always maintain the cleanliness, there is a big posibility that it would long last until the limit of time product. In my experience, my father bought me a pair of shoes which the brand is VANS, i was 15 years old when he bought me that kind of shoes and until now that i'am 18 years old, i'm still using it and i can say i really taking care of my thhng and i valued them because of their sentimetal values. Until now the look of my shoes is same as we buy it at the first and i can say if i will sell it to UKAY-UKAY many people will go and buy it. But i will sell my important things. Here in our country there is a great number of imitation products were tax free to the government, and many people really buy this kind of product which is very affordable but even though the product is affordable, they do not know that the quality of it can cause accident, especially with shoes. Example you buy a pair of imitation shoes and you use it in your outdoor activity, and while using the product there is a chance to be slip due to the imitation class of the sole rubber of the shoes, which is not slick and it do not decrease the friction. But if you buy original may be you will really avoid accident from using this kind of shoes. Well, in summary if you really want to maintain the safe and good quality of the product may be you may try using the original one and when buying a original product you help your country. That's all happy posting and happy earning to us. God bless and good luck to our earning carefr. Well, that's the end of my response with your discussion. thank you i hope i give a good response!

it depends on your interest and consume ability. i usually choose the item with the higher ratio of performance and price, i aslo pay attention to the promotion activity where the brand goods often have some discount.

I usually find the middle ground depending on what the product is. I never buy the best of a product, epeciaally if it is just for the brand.. Although i find if you buy something too cheap then its not worth it if its going to become useless in no time at all.

It depends on what product I am buying. For electronic goods such as TV, I will buy the well known and reliable brands. For shoes, bags and clothes, I'll also consider the reliable but affordable branded ones but not those ridiculously priced designer brands. But for trendy clothes, i don't mind buying the cheaper ones but still of good quality.

You're right about it, people should buy the things they needed with a good quality even it cost that hard rather than buying the things they want but will never use it after they don't want it anymore because of reasons like out of a fashion etc etc.

I rarely by brand name things. I don't feel that we pay for quality, I feel that we are only paying for a name. To me, the name is not worth an extra amount of money.

There are some quality goods that are worth their price but most have jacked up prices just because of their brand and their aesthetic value, others have high value with no quality at all. For example, there are some slippers worth P2K-P3K which can last as long as the cheap ones. Yes, they might be soft but the price is not worth the comfort. As others have said, sometimes there are affordable goods that are as quality as the more expensive ones. It is really best to test a product and not just rely on their brand name and price.

I think it really doesn't matter, i have bough expensive product and they have been a let down and then bough something cheap and been much better, i guess it just comes down to personal choice and taste.

For clothes and other things, I don't care what brand they are. But when it comes to appliances and tech gadgets, I do MIND the brand of the object.
