Dealing with all the depression you might gone crazy

Someone once said it to me, if you live in the states long enough, you might gone crazy. What is that suppose mean? Living in the states, we might always pursue our American Dreams. You can't just turn around and be rich, you have to work a lot, a lot more than others if you are an immigrant. You have to deal with language problem, discrimination, and work pressure. If you are lucky enough, you make your dream come true. Otherwise, you might gone crazy just like the spree shooting happened last week.
