Have you tried this? What will you do if the one you love so much tells you he/she is not deserving of your love? I don't know how to answer my ex's statement. I've done everything to make this person happy. But this person still loves you.

It only means that he/she doesnt love you anymore. He/She just dont want to offend you that much that is why she was telling you that she's/he's not deserving of your love. But the message is clear that he/she wants you both to move on. Let it be.
