Well, ever since my almost 3 year daughter and i watched the movie Monsters vs Aliens... she wants to be called Ginormica... every time i ask her "What's your name?"... her reply would be "Ginormica"... i think this is really cute... but i would want her to be using that name for a long time... since she has such a beautiful original name...
I remember when my niece insisted on being called Bubbles... and this lasted for months even when she started going to school... it only stopped when my sister threatened not to take her to the mall anymore if she still insist on being called Bubbles...
So... how about the other mothers out there who have young kids... have you ever experienced this sudden change of name thing?...

Not too sure...possibly because he thought he resembled a bull. He used to run around alot with his head down and his "horns forward", haha. I'm not sure where he got the idea from.

I have a niece who wouldn't turn her head until you called her by a certain name (she got it from a telenovela show and she seriously wanted to look like that character). I think what made her drop it was when her mom kept on telling her that she was far prettier than the girl in the television. And she was! Then she started the whole Dora-phase. She still likes Dora but she doesn't want to be like her (anymore) because her father kept on teasing her that he thinks Dora's ugly haha
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

that is so cute. children do really have some idols and they imitate them and sometimes wanted to be them as exactly. even the name the clothes and the way they talk. i have three daugthers and they wantto play the power puff girls when they are much younger, now that they are all teens they wanted to be total spice... but they find it to corny to imitate sonebody already. that will pass dont worry. 1 person likes this

Well, right now... she started using her own name again..i guess she got tired of Ginormica... but she gets really excited when she sees the commercial on tv... i can't really stop her from changing her name... since i know she will go back to the original one...
Thanks for the response...

Hello aseretdd,
My son doesn't have any names that he really fond of, not at this time. Whenever you ask him his name, he will straightly tell you his original name. He doesn't seem to be attracted to any cartoon characters too. Whenever we watch movie, he prefer this genre - horror

Oh my... my daugther do not like watching horror films... she can be scared quite easily... she likes cartoons when she was younger... but now... she prefers to just play with her toys rather than watch tv... your son is quite unique... most kids i know prefer comedy rather than horro films...

Yes, it is so adorable... we had a good laugh this morning when her grandparents heard her say Ginormica proudly... i wonder what new name she will take next time... and like you said... as long as it is decent... then i will just play along with her...
Thanks for the resposne...
