Do you consider yourself patient?

Patience is indeed a virtue. But I don't think that's one of mine. You see, I don't like waiting. It's not only waiting for someone to come type of a deal, I don't like waiting for news (in cases where I have no idea what's going on). My boyfriend always complains to me about being too impatient. Whenever there are arguments he could just sleep on it then talk about it the next day, but for me, I detest that type of a tactic. I can't sleep if I don't know what's up. It's similar to other things as well. I just can't sit and wait patiently of what's to happen or what is happening. I want to be advised straight to the point. What about you? Do you think you're patient? How can you say so?

yeah...patience is a virtue and I don't think that's one of mine too. I admire those people who can handle things patiently especially when they are pressured. To have patience, we should be patient (owww...)that's why it's not that easy to develop this virtue. we can't just say "I want patience... NOw!!!."

Yeah, indeed it's a Virtue because everybody can't get it unless they work on their ways to get it. Whew!

Yes, I'm patient...at least until i RUN OUT of patience! lol Serioulsy, I think I have a LOT of patience, but it isn't an infinite amount of patiences. I do get to the point where I just run out of patience. Sometimes, then, when I get to that point, it's not such a good thing. It's kinda of like a cork popping otu of a champagne bottle! I think my patience has increased over the years. I figured it's not worth it to be in a bad mood all the time because things aren't going the way I think they should be. I've learned to accept things as they are, for the most part. But, as a parent, it's alway a challenge to know when it's good to be patient and when to stand firm. I think part of the reason I have become tolerant of certain things is because I know myself well enough to know how angered I can become and I don't like it when I get like that. So, I've had to learn more patience.

I think I am a patient person unless I am being pressured by an impatient person because I really start to get stressed when someone else is pressuring me.

I am a very patient person and I understand there are times when there is nothing you can do except wait. What i do find impatient is when someone is blatantly making you wait because they are doing soemthing they shouldn't like chatting one of their friends when they should be serving you in that case I make it known that they are pushing my limits. Otherwise I am very patient and understanding. But please don't push me becuase patience and understanding have limits

Oh yeah! That ticks me off too! When I'm being served late because someone is doing something else that they shouldn't be doing in the first place. Indeed everything has limits!

I think that overall Im a patient person. But when Im having a bad day or Im really tired than I become impatient. Like most of the time Im alright being stuck in traffic or catching a red light on my way to and from work, but some days I get impatient and I just cant stand waiting.

I am very famous for my impatience.I used to be very impatient as my birth star is Aries. And I just cannot tolerate stupidity.I used to be very impatient with people who react very slowly and people who are lethargic and dull. And nowadays I have learned to be patient and I think that I am trying to mellow with age.

I could definitely relate to you since I'm under the Aries sign as well. Hahaha.. I'm very reactive and sometimes I don't think before doing something, only to regret my actions after.

Yes, my answer is in affirmative. I am very patient. If I am supposed to wait for somebody, I wait coolly because I know s/he might have stuck up somewhere. I do not lose my temper and one the person finally arrives I just ask for the reasons for his delay or else before I ask he explains the reasons for his delay. If I have asked somebody to come at a designated place and at an appointed time, I would wait approximately for half an hour, before I leave the place. Moreover, in the age of cell phone, I can also take the help of cell phone to know about his whereabouts.

What happens when he does reaches the talked place and was too late and then he'd simply say he had forgotten about it or fell asleep, how would that make you feel?

Certainly, if he talks in this manner, I may lose my patience.

I don`t reckon i`m the one who have much enough patience on everything. But my former boyfriend taught me how to get patience,he was in Hongkong, far away from my city,so we can`t meet each other everytime, phone and computer are the only connection between us.Cos there was some problems with the phone(the two tele-companies have different service,we could`t phone sometimes),both of us must have enough patience to face our situation,we could forgive each one`s faults and as far as possible to bear the lonely time. But the long distance always is a problem,we broken up peaceful at all. Well,it`s hard to get patience ,really, for me.

Wow, the boyfriend thing. What is the deal with that? I'm married now but I have been through that many a time. I just cannot go to bed angry because I know that the longer I have to wait to vent, the worse it will be. For him. I also can't stand people going round the houses or dressing up bad news with a long dragged out story. Just get to the point already! I'm an adult, I can take it. I love honesty, the more brutal the better. Gets everything out in the open and problems solved in much less time n saves me failing miserably at the patience game. I think this is all part of my anxiety though. I need to know and I need to know now therefore no surprises and no need to panic or worry. I'm also from the UK. The land of the queue. Drives me insane. And when people skip the queue it is just about enough to tip me over the edge. Oh my, there are just too many to list and i'm not patient enough to sit down and think of them all. However, when it comes to cooking, I am the most patient person alive. I can wait on a casserole for 5 hours and just leave it alone. It's my only savior.

Hehehhe.. You're patient with casseroles. hehehe.. That's good. About the boyfriend thing, I know, it sounds so cliche and immature. But oh well, I too can't figure it out either and am not patient enough to think about it any longer as well.

I go with the impatient people. Yes, I hate waiting, thus, I am punctual. Yet some people can't read time. They're definitely my pet peeves - people who won't come in time of an arrangement and people who break promises. Maybe being too impatient is not good, it's like you're always rushing time. But for me, time is too precious to waste. I can wait, but it depends on my mood and the situation. Sometimes, people just won't understand how it is to wait. I do, so I definitely come on time. Waiting makes me frustrated. Thus, somehow, I need an anger management course.

Oh me too, I hate people who are late because I'm never late, I also hate people who break promises, specially if they do it more than twice.

I think that I am a pretty patient person in most cases. I do have to admit that there have been times where it was hard to maintain my tolerance because I really was expecting something at the time. Patience is really a good virtue to have. It shows a sign of maturity and I realize that we all lose it once in a while because we can't wait. I don't come across too much in my life where I lose my patience. I do have a five year old son that can try me once in a while when he gets a little erratic but I handle it in the best way that I can. As for waiting for things I think that I have become pretty used to having to just hold out until something comes along that I have bee waiting for. You probably need to work on your skills a little bit and just try to wait for things. They will get there in their own time. People will probably appreciate you much better also if you can express more patience and such. I wish you luck with this. Take care laydee.

Rightly put - "Patience is a great virtue". But this virtue is a remote concept for me, however, though I have slightly upgraded myself in this. If some one was expected to arrive at a fixed time and no trace for more than half an hour I am gone nuts. If i do not locate the book I had kept somewhere after going halfway through I am impatient. If the my wife is not at home by the supposed time I am gone. But now I have been learning to remain cool and wait till the book is discovered. In my retrospection I think going impatient is inviting stress and tension which are the guests for diseases like hyper tension and neurological disorders.

i don't think that i was really that patient... it is because of pressures and negative occurrences that changed my views towards prioritizing patience...

well as for me... sometimes i am patient and sometimes, im not specially if it takes me alot of time. then that would be a different situation. time is also precious, you know. and how could we do the things we must do, if they dont value our time and effort.
