My calico cat had her kittens, and one of her kitten is white with a little bluish gray color on the tips of it's paws and little nose. The daddy was a big yellow cat. How in world could she produce a white kitten?

i've heard that it's really quite common for a calico to have white kittens. Is it male or female? Males are often born white from a calico cat, and sometimes females, too. I also heard that all calico's are females. And, just like humans, genes can skip a generation. Maybe there's a white grandpa/grandma the kitten will never meet. lol. It sounds so beautiful. I've always wanted a white cat. I had a short-haired black cat that gave birth to a black puffball, 2 tabby cats, and one all gray cat. i could tell they were manecoons, though which is why the black one came out a puffball. lol. that's what my kids named it, too.

Hello,
I never knew that males were born white from a calico cat. That's just amazing. By the way, it is a male, and he is just beautiful, cutest little thing. And Mommy is so proud of her babies. There are three kittens, the other two are 1- yellow, 1- mostly black with a little bit of white. They will be 6 weeks old Thursday. I haven't taken any pictures of them yet, I was going to wait until they get a little older. I'll post a picture of him then. I sure wish that I could keep him, but I can't. I have my hands full with Cissy (Calico) and her two brothers. Thanks!
