It depends on how funny it is. I usually do *LOL*, *LMAO*, or if it's really good *ROTFLMAO*

I'm like you in that I use both just according to my mood and if someone makes me laugh a lot of times I'll use the HAHA but it I make a comment that I think is funny a lot of times I'll use LOL...don't ask me why!!

While typing on internet, I don't type for laughter words like ha...ha... or lol... but I use smileys like

i use "ha ha " mostly . It is easy for me to express.
i can type as many ha ha 's i want.
It is a natural way of expressing laughter .

I normally use LOL, though I will use haha from time to time, especially if I am chatting with one of my friends online. I don't know why, but LOL just doesn't seem as fitting during these times.

I don't think I have ever used haha. I do use lol or rofl depending on how funny it is. I guess.

I am more of the hahahaha type considering that I place more "ha" if I find it very amusing and funny. The more "ha" the greater the effect. I am not very much familiar with those internet languages not until lately. This is the reason that I have not used them much.

i used haha a lot, plus a smiley or an emiticon, whether it be on chat, text messages and email.
