Well, I don't know if it is the right interest to post this topic. Recently I just launched (without official ceremony ) my first website. It is a site providing free ebooks to download. Here it is : http://www.grabook.com I just wonder how to improve its appearance. What do you think? Any feed back and advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Hey keep_onwatch Nice to see you here :) Everything is fine. How are you? How is your kid? Thanks for visiting and giving advice. I think you are right, there is a lack of color there So far I depend on the ebook covers to add some colors; I should polish the website though.

Yes, they are totally for free. You don't even need to register before. Just pick any ebooks your need or you like, and download them. Enjoy :)

Backlinks are valuable: have a look into Qassia.com as an easy easy of increasing incoming, relevant links, without getting on the link exchange roundabout. You have done a nice job with your site, although I am inclined to avoid all such sites: the content is so much like a thousand other "money-making" junkyards that as soon as I see the home page I move elsewhere. I just don't believe in these schemes: but for your sake, I hope I am wrong.

Those ebooks you saw in the front page, yes accidentally is all about money making, because they are the last updated ebooks. You can find free ebooks in various subject including health and fitness, gardening, relationship, even yoga and meditation.

Nice discussion man if you really want to promote your site there are thousands of ways. First of all promote the site by sending emails to your own friends as this is really helpful second thing if you have joined in any social communities like orkut then place update message status with links on your site Create an account in web 2.0 sites like hubpages, ehow, digg, squidoo and all the sites which you think better and famous provide link to your new site from all this newly joined site pages One more site you can try is twitter if you have many number of twitter followers then i think this single site is enough to promote your site please never involve in link exchange schemes as most of search engines have really started this link exchanges . any ways you have really a nice site and seems to be hard working if you want more details on promoting your site visit my newly established blog http://topblogger.co.cc leave a comment and subscribe to my feeds as i will start writing about step by step SEO tips from next week.

It seems decent enough... But just a few small changes you might want to make organization wise would be adding a section for ebooks because some people might just view the homepage as the place where you just learn a little bit of information about the company at hand. Other than that on your category section for the ebooks I would capitalize each of them. Just seems a bit more professional that way. Also you might want to start a testimonial page once the site really gets running. Therefore people can be like hey it really worked and they are scamming you and sending you spam etc.

hi, thanks for the valuable input Yes I think you right. I should put 'ebook' section in the top menu. And about capitalizing the category title, yeah before I doubt if I have to capitalize it or let it all written in the lower case. I like the lower case LOL. But I think you right, it's better to capitalize those category. Thanks.

Hi, thanks sister, you are very generous you are always the best! I got the button on the internet from a free trial software. will be excited to find how you design such buttons, that must be artistic... and, you are really true about the green LOL. I am just too bad in blending color. I have no idea what color will match with that green (#4ba123). Happy posting too, miss you and miss Bali :)
