Obama plans on polluting the atmosphere!

John Holdren, Obama's new "science" advisor has a plan to counter the effects of pollution in our atmosphere... More Pollution?
They are so stuck in the scam of Man Caused Global Warming that they have decided "Geoengineering" is the answer. If implemented, the plan is to shoot "pollution particles" into the upper atmosphere to block the sun's rays and cool the planet.
Wait a minute... I thought it was now called "Global Climate Change" because our pollution has created a situation where the earth can either cool down or heat up. So far, no one has been able to predict which change would happen or when. So how do these geniuses know when to pollute and when not to?
If pollution is the answer, shouldn't we just drive SUVs and burn incandescent light bulbs?
I guess the only good pollution is the noxious gasses spewed by Obama and his "advisors".
"We don't have the luxury of taking any approach off the table." ~Holdren
Hey idiot! If we shouldn't take any approach off the table, how about COMMON SENSE!

Yeah, It snowed here in Western New York. It's been a long winter... where the heck is my global warming???
Didn't they do that sort of thing on Futurama? I remember they sent trash into space for some reason in one of their cartoons. Maybe that was the inspiration.

lol... yeah I remember that one too. Knowing the government they would get false information like how we later found out a faulty sensor provided false information that their was a decrease in polar ice caps when in fact there were an increase in ice and they would drop the "ice cube" (metaphor) And would create an ice age.

That was a good episode. What happened was that at some point in (the future's) history, they ran out of places to dump our trash, so they shot it out into space. A few centuries later, the garbage meteor threatened to come crashing into earth with deadly results. SO Fry came up with the brilliant idea to hit the garbage meteor with a new blob of trash and push it out of the collision path with the earth. LOL They had been recycling for so long that they didn't have the necessary trash, so Fry saved the world by urging people to be wasteful and make garbage again.
There was another episode related to global warming, the polar icecaps had melted and they combated global warming by dropping an enormous icecube into the sea every few years. It would not surprise me if one day our geniuses in the government decide to do THAT too!

Right now we are in a situation where there are very few sunspots. If this continues for any length of time, we will not have to worry about global warming for awhile. We will have to worry about global COOLING! No sunspots for a long time can really chill us down. Toodles Mr. Gore. You better find some alternative ways to heat our homes and quick!

I think that's a terrible idea. Although I don't believe global warming is entirely the people's fault, as our earth goes through periods of warming and cooling (such as the ice age), but I do believe that human activity is speeding it up. So throwing garbage into the air isn't going to help much in my opinion! But why is it, that the presedent of one single country gets to decide something like this for the entire world? This isn't his desicion! He was elected to run the U.S.A., not to control how hot our sun is.

Oh, I'm sure he'll run the idea past his lords and masters in the EU and UN before he does anything.
I just wonder how they'll know if the climate is going to cool or warm before they go and do this boneheaded thing.

I just wish they would leave it alone. The plan could seriously backfire.

One of the main problems of liberalism is that there's NO room for debate.
The best way to handle the problem of warming - if it exists - is to have experts from ALL SIDES reach a consensus. Instead, liberals have their scientists, their spokesman, and their new tri-head monster in power to implement any change wanted.
How vain. How destructive. How stupid!
Unless the solution is theirs, they won't want it. Unless they problem was cited by them, it doesn't exist. Unless their people say that it's false, any attempts to disprove it are simply right-wing smears.
It's completely beyond self-involved to want to BLOCK THE SUN'S RAYS per your particular ideology. We're talking about effects on the entire world here, not just America.
If Obama wants to force car companies to change their standards and extort electric companies out of business like he's planned, then go for it. He's won the election and now has the right to run the country. But to think that he's going to try and run the solar system... my goodness!
People were calling for Bush's assassination after going into Iraq to "control" it. What are people going to say about Obama trying to tinker around with the SUN ffs? My guess: There won't be an entire "Obama Hate" section added to the book store after his presidency. For some reason, no matter what he does - and I know, it's still early on - the Kool-Aid seems abundant.

If pollution is the supposed cause of the mythical global warming, how is MORE pollution the answer to solve it? That's freaking stupid. If pollution is the CURE then 0bama needs to scrap all those carbon credit thingies and his minions need to get off our backs about driving SUVs and let the car companies go back to making cars people actually want instead of weak little go carts powered by the hot air cooing out of Washington.
Freaking morons.

The only thing I can think of that is DUMBER than polluting the atmosphere to combat the results of pollution would be to SPEND a bunch of money to combat your financial troubles in hopes of getting out of debt.
If you're stuck in a 40 foot deep hole, does it make any sense to dig the hole 20 feet DEEPER in the hopes of getting out?

Don't worry. This crazy idea is not likely to ever get off the ground.. at least, I hope not as if they ever do manage to do this, and it's successful, they are likely to cool the planet to much and plunge us all into a new ice age. There is no way that they can control the effects or accurately predict the results of this.

Even if he does succeed, do we really want our government having the ability to control the weather?
I agree, I thought we were all agreed that it was climate change by now...not something we can cause, but something we can adapt to -- probably should adapt to.

The president is acting like U.S. is the only country in this world! America is not the world! He should consult all the nations before doing that!
ARROGANT Obama + The OLD ARROGANT AMERICA = TERRIBLE EFFECTS FOR THE WORLD!
