My kids have been bugging me since last week to dye some eggs for Easter. I've had the egg color kit bought since last year when the store had their after Easter sale. I'm thinking we'll dye the eggs tomorrow or Friday. How about you?

You could always make a few for yourself with some food coloring instead of buying the whole dye kit.

I have not dyed any eggs yet. My kids had fun doing it last year, but I just have not thought about it yet this year. I did buy a dozen eggs the other day, so we have 1/2 dozen eggs in the fridge. We might do them Friday or Saturday.

i bought a lot of easter stuff last year after easter and will probably do the same thing this year. also, in regards to egg dying - my 15 year old says she isnt interested this year and my 12 year old is so so about the whole idea. i think daddy wants to do it more than the girls do and to that end, he already bought the eggs! It will be saturday if we have time as friday and sunday are already booked!

Maybe you should just make it a date for you and your husband.

We do not have this tradition in my neck of the woods. It would be fun though, if we had something like this. Cheers!!

You could always be the first one to start.

We will dye them today or tomorrow. Make sure to wear rubber gloves so you don't get the stuff on your fingers.

That's something I never think of doing - wearing rubber gloves. Good tip.

We did not do our eggs yet. I think we may do them saturday. Unless i decide to do them tonight. I am excited. This year we are making sparkly eggs & camo eggs. My husband is a hunter so we are doing the camo ones for him.

If we dye them it'll be Saturday night. We always do it the night before the bunny comes. However hubby may be working so I dunno if he'll help me boil them and we dye them with out him? I hope not he hasn't missed 1 egg dying night since my oldest was born. But with the economy being what it is you have to do what you have to do.

Hi Shar, If you decide to dye your eggs on Friday that will make two of us, Friday is when I plan to dye my eggs also, I have three children and two of them are old enough to know what's going on so I know they won't let me forget!! :)
