The movie created big hype and conquered not only our hearts but also eight oscars. The name is known to all of us-Slumdog Millionaire. But,this one is not about the film.I want to ask you about the kids who acted in the film.Do you feel this film will have any positive impact on those slum dweller kids? Will their lives change even a little bit?Share your views.

Well their lives have not changed a bit. They still live in the slum, they still dont go to school and now Azhar is on roads with no home, as their illegal slums were pulled or razed down by the city corporation. So no the oscars have made no difference to them.

Hi anuraa32,thanks for responding to this discussion.Well, recently the news came that the actor named Azhar in the film is already one of those people who lost their homes. This is the reality and we cannot ignore it.I wonder why he was not given a home as promised?

well im from India, and every day i go on road i see these small kids either selling some items or begging on roads. i think this movie was was 4 every one in this world , to show them how people live in poverty, it was a movie to motivate us to help poor. i think that this movie will really help small children to make their own bright future.

Hi kapil_poundarik,for responding to this discussion that I have started.I am also an Indian and my experience is not at all any different. But how do you think this movie will help these kids to shine? Will a single movie be capable to change these kids' futures? If it can then how it will?Share your views.
