Have you ever received flowers from your boyfriend/husband?

Sweet roses - I would like to receive one from my lover...

Silly question, isn't it? I never received any flowers from anybody. Well, there was one time but it didn't really count - when I was in high school, I found there was a flower on my desk and everybody told me that was the boy that liked me put it there. But I never receive any flowers from my lover, I know most of you will say it is a waste of money or it is not important, but I just want to receive once since I never get any... I think it is romantic^_^ What do you think about receiving flowers? Waste of money? Big fan of it? Don't both buying for you?

I don't think buying some nice flowers sometimes is a waste of money and I also think it is romantic! I love flowers and my Husband knows that, he'd given me flowers in some occasions and I do love it. I hope you'll get a flower from your lover soon.

I hope your next steady will give you flowers. As for me I Never want flowers. To me they are a symbol of a false apology.he has done something wrong that he will never admit so he sends flowers instead to say I am sorry , but he doesn't mean it, I tell every guy Not to send me flowers. It won't have the reaction, he is thinking I will be moved and all I would want to do is drop them ovr his head.

sometimes i get flowers from my hubby but i would rather him not because we could use the money for something else. i prefer jewellry to flowers because it lasts longer and i can enjoy it longer.

not necessarily. i love silver jewellry and the price would be comparable to the price of flowers. i can get a nice sterling silver ring for around $20-.

Hello mermaidivy, I never received from my boyfriend nor did from my husband. But I did receive quite many times from my secret admirers when I was in my 20's. Unfortunately those people never knew that I don't like flowers. I ended up giving them to colleagues or brought them home and gave it to my mother. My husband knows that I don't like flowers and he never think of buying any for me.

i love it when my husband gives me flowers because its not very often. we're both kind of very busy most of the time and have our own things going on. but even if i dont get any flowers there are plenty of other ways you can show someone your feelings.

I love it too when you get flowers for a good reason. However I worked in a florist for awhile so I saw alot of cases where the guy was bailing himself out of trouble buying flowers, so that is why my reply was as it is. I do think that they can be WAY overpriced to do qujite regularly but the joy from them is really special when it is unexpected.

Um actually I haven't gotten any from my current boyfriend because we just started dating. My ex brought me wild flowers that he picked which I thought was really sweet and then the ex before him only got me flowers when I was mad at him. I like getting flowers when it is random and just because act, not when it is to make me forgive him ya know.

Hi Mermaidivy, I think it is truly romantic when my husband will stop on his way home from work and buy me flowers. It is a way to let me know that he loves me and was thinking of me. Sometimes he buys me roses or a Spring mix and other times it will be potted flowers that I can plant in our yard. Either way I love to receive them with his love. It is something I never take for granted and I am always surprised when he does bring them home for me. I also do this in return. Not many men get flowers from their girl friends or wives. I love to bring my husband a rose once in a while too. I really surprised him the first time I did bring him home a rose. He said I was the only one who ever did that for him and he found out that his buddies thought it was really romantic that I did that as well. Many of them never receive flowers from their loved ones. So, don't forget to give your boy friend or husband a rose, they will love it as much as you love receiving them.

My fiance often gets me flowers, whether it's Valentine's Day, or not. It's just the type of person that he is. He's a very romantic and sweet type of guy. I often tell him that he doesn't have to buy me flowers or anything, but he keeps doing it anyway. As I've said, it's just the way he is. I'm lucky to have such a loving and amazing fiance.

In the 50+ years of our marriage, I've probably received flowers from my husband a half dozen times. All of those have been within the past 10 years or so. Somehow, I think they probably would have meant more in the early years of our marriage.

Hi mermaid...I have received flowers from my husband. Sometimes it was just for a regular day and sometimes it was for a special day like my birthday or our anniversary. I know that some people think it's a waste of time but I love getting flowers and I keep them as long as possible.

I understand why u feel that way. It is a wonderful feeling when u receive flowers from your husband or boyfried. I think it is and experience every woman should have. I get flowers from my bf on special occasions which i appreciate very much. I understand he can't do it as often as he would like to but i do appreciate the effert. Have u spoken to him about that? If u have what was his responce? U must realize though that all humans are different maybe he is not that kind of man, try to understand him. You c my bf is not the kind to speak gently, most times we endup in and argument about the way he speaks to me, i wish i had someone who would speak kind and gentle to me when we are have a discussion even if it is dissapointing to him.

I think that recieving flowers from your husband or your boyfirend is one way of showing your wife or girlfriend that she is special, loved and that you are thinking about her. I don't think it is a waste of money. We don't have much money and my husband brings me flowers or even one flower. It also doesn't have to be roses all the time. Wild flowers are just as beautiful and makes a women feel as special. Am I right?

I've only received flowers from one person in my whole life =[ lol. He lived 1300 miles away but insisted on getting me flowers for valentines day since no one ever had before. It was really sweet of him to go so far out of his way to do something like that. I don't think it's a waste of money at all. Flowers are beautiful and if you know what you're doing you can dry them and save them or just the petals for as long as you want.

Like you, i have never received flowers from my lover of 3 years now....He thinks it's a waste of money and i think so too...I always tell him it's okay if he doesn't give me any but i know you would understand if i say i'd love to receive flowers at least once in my lifetime right? =\ Ohwells, doesn't mean we say it's okay means they should really not think from our perspective and dismiss it totally...=[
