I know so many of us need and want more money. Even more so now with the way things are with the economy. Have you ever thought of starting your very own business? What kind of business and are you still in business? I am in the process of doing just that and I would love some true feedback.

Yes I do have a mini business online. I have this online shop in multiply which I brought up in 2007, almost the same moment I get into mylot. It did not come as a business to me at first. We just got an internet connection at home so I wanna maximize the 999 peso payment we pay for the internet and since I'm a Journalism major, I wanted to try something online wherein I can practice my English skills. So there, I put up cheapee.multiply.com, an online shop that caters to everyone, a shop that has cute and unique items at such an affordable price. I am a practical person and always want to get the best out of my money and I myself wont buy something so pricey while in fact, I know its a reality that I can get it at a cheaper price that is why I offered to sell items at a cheap price. I sell clothes, polaroids (on some instance), accessories, headbands, lip balms, bags, and many more. Good thing is that people start knowing my shop and the customers keep growing. As of today I already have more than 4,000 contacts there but only 140+ of customers who already bought from my shop. But still, I consider it as a success because they believe in my selling capabilities and they trust me because like you know, online shopping is not that easy coz there are many abusers out there. 34momma, well good luck to your business. My advice is to get involve in a business you already know a background of. As for me, before I become an online seller, I first became an online shopper. From there, I learned th do's and dont's, the how's and why's... and along the road, you will still learn. You also need to have the patience because some customers always ask, ask and ends up not buying. Dont be mad if you encounter them, remember that they just want to decide on whats best for them. I remember that instance, I am also like that then, asks, asks, haggles, and ends up not buying the item I am eyeing. But the end is, you'll still learn... which is a good thing. I hope you can get to apply my tips here. Good luck on your soon-to-be-business! :)

I have my own business, but it is not for profit. I started a counseling business for hurting people. I may one day start a counseling service for profit, but not at this time.

now that sounds like an interesting business. what you need to do is find out if there are enough people in your area who needs or wants what you are going to be selling. once you get that information then you can figure out what to do next

My husband and I opened our motorcycle shop in February...or there abouts. He started out on Ebay, buying and selling Harleys and parts, building bikes and selling those once he was tired of them. After a year or so of working out of our garage the perfect location presented itself and we jumped on it. Most of our stock came from our garage but we also had to invest about $5000 in remodeling and additional stock and supplies. My husband repairs, maintains and builds bikes now. He also finds parts for customers online and sells them for a profit. Because we were able to identify a need in our area, business is good. That's the key...offering something that folks need.

Hello 34momma, I never started a business of my own. A unique business. The only thing I have tried is to be a dealer of some products. Like avon or a local Vitamin C and Pampanga's best products. But I'm not really successful with it because, I can't focus on it. have fun

i have built two business before, offline. i have put up a music store selling CD's and cassettes , and i became a magazine distributor for large magazine companies to distribute and sell to retailers, just like affiliate marketing in the net. Both flopped. It is easier to put up the business but it is a different story to keep it running well. napoleon hills "think and grow rich" fueled my spirit to be an entrepreneur but i lacked the business accumen and i am still getting to learn them through jeffrey j,fox's book "how to make big money with a small business". what he said in his book talks more about my faults when i was starting one and i plan to correct that now in my online business. I am still paying for my business debts up until now but that did not stop me into looking for a business to set up. currently, i am employed and trying to establish my presence in the net by doing affiliate marketing. i just need the correct tools and mentors to guide me through the right path. i still need to layout my plans on starting.
