Speaking of childhood...

I get to play with toys all day long! I am a pre-kindergarten teacher! Part of my curriculum is to learn through play. Some of the toys we have in our classroom are actually from the 80s and are toys I remember playing with when I was a child - like the Fisher Price barn! I love having the chance to play with my students, it's fun to pretend you're a kid again, on a daily basis. It is unfortunate that when I have my own children they will not have toys like I did when I was little. The toys have change SO much since then.

I had a deprived childhood so I don't really have nice toys...I just make do with hand-me-downs and make believe plays; but I enjoyed my childhood as I really roughed it out with the neighborhood kids....I climbed trees, played in the mud, played boys' games, and other team games that I miss today. Well, that's all part of growing up and I'm glad I had those as a child...
