I signed up with skype for few years now. And I use skype every day to chat with my brother and sister and nieces or nephews who stay at different places from me. I find skype is easy to use. With a mic , I can chat verbally with my friends and family. I sometimes also video chat with them and even sent them documents or photo instantly. I find skype is easy and user friendly. I'm a freelancer writing up accounts for companies, in order to save phone calls charges, I have recommended most of my accounting clients to signed up with skype so that we can chat and sending documents instantly .This is cost saving and effective to companies as nowadays most companies have internet connection in their office. Skype allow conference chat too, so few persons can chat at the same time.

I have been registered to this for a long while now but, I just recently started being active again on Skype after attending an english training camp. I sometimes try to keep in touch with the students that I was able to handle during that camp. It is quite nice since aside being able to talk to them clearly, I could also see them very well in video using a web cam compared to the other instant messengers that I have tried, namely Yahoo Messenger. I would like to recommend it to anyone who is interested in video chatting and not simply typing your replies to each other every now and then. Of course, its not all perfect. When you make a conference with a number of participants, you can't use the web cam to see each other. You can do that on YM but, the web cam is still lagging or just shows frame by frame.. I guess it really depends on the connection. (^_^ ) use skype for cheap calls.

I have an account with skype but I dont use it that much compared to yahoo messenger. Most of my friends are on yahoo, I only use skype for work related or when I talk to foreigners. Most americans use skype as means of communication. Skype has cheap rates calling to landlines compared to others.

I do have an account with Skype, but I don't use it very often. I'm not sure why, but I just don't. I guess I just prefer to use e-mails, and such.

Hi there. I just recently began to use Skype since it's one of the few chat applications that our office's IT department hasn't banned from our servers yet so I use it when I'm at the office. I still am more comfortable with YM, though.
