Genuinely , once in a lifetime you get married. What are the qualities you expect the partner to possess? How do you decide your life partner?

As in the Hindu tradition, marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman and it makes them partners not for this life, also for the next seven lives together. As with all relationships, I think understanding between the two persons is the most important thing. They would be more close to each other if they get to know each other well. What I think most marriages in our society depends on the understanding of the couple involved. Have a nice day.

I have been married for almost 13 years. The qualities I looked for were: Nice Guy and not abusive in any way Hard worker who could support a family if we ever had one (which we did) humor- I love a guy who sees the bright side of things and can make me laugh Some who takes good care of himself (didn't want to be stuck with a stinky man who never bathed! Luckily, my husband bathes everyday)! Someone who cleaned up after himself (a quality my husband does not have but he tricked me).

For me marriage is something you should really think hard about. Sometimes the one you love isn't really the one you are supposed to get married to. Sometimes the person you are in a relationship with is perfect but won't be perfect when you get married. You should be sure that the love of the person you are marrying is true, honest and sincere. You don't decide who your life partner is..it just comes along and you know that it is it. Just like magic it sweeps you off your feet.

Well, I would want my partner to be: Caring, Helpful, A good listener, A good Communicator (extremely important), smart, He must believe in God and He must also love Kids and have a good work ethic. There are so many qualities that I would want in my life partner, but I think caring, a good communicator and strong family values are the most important to me. I would want my spouse to believe and trust in his family and always put family values above everything else. My partner must also want to take care of himself so he will be around for me and his kids for a very long, long time. He will know that I need him to walk by my side through the good times and the bad.
