Teens are driving dangerously these days

My girlfriend and I were driving home the other night. I was running around 40 MPH, and it was 8:00 p.m. night time on the street. Some teens just honking behind us, shouting and "yahooing". I took a look, they were just a bunch of brats, 3 boys and two girls driving a sports car, seems drunk. They were fast, and pass us like lightning. I won't dare to race them, but I think that they need some discipline. Nowadays, those teens really need some lessons in life, otherwise they won't know how much hazard they caused to our environment.

Haven't teenagers always been like that, though? At least according to old books and movies they have. I think the truth is the more irresponsible teens are always going to be the most noticed -- how could you not have noticed the honking, shouting, and yahooing? The teens that don't make any noise or do anything else to draw attention to themselves will just go by unnoticed. I was one of the unnoticed teens myself; I've always felt that driving was dangerous and should be done cautiously. Plenty of older people seem to drive dangerously as well -- I drive more in the day, very rarely at night, so I think I come across far more adult risky drivers than I do teens.
