i am making some cards for a craft show next week but i dont do this seriously to make money, just for fun. i like to make some ankle bracelets out of hemp for the summer for myself and my daughters. i am also hoping to start weaving a carry all bag shortly with some cotton wool.

Sorry I'm so late with this, it's almost summer and you can ask about summer crafts! Mostly picking wild flowers, so anything with wild flowers. Flower aranging,if edible, dipping in egg whites and sugar and allowing to dry to eat or decorate a cake with or making ice cubes with them in, and one year I did flower pounding. It's a very strange craft, I had read it somewhere. You take a very colorful flower, like dark violet, dark red, really highly pigmented flowers, put them on top of duck cloth, white canvas, really, really strong cloth, then the flower, then wax paper or more cloth, then pound with a rubber hammer and the pigment goes on the cloth in the shape of the petal. Can also do with tame flowers. You really have to pound the heck out of the petal, the flower is destroyed, but the color goes into the cloth. If you're really angry or need to get a lot of energy out or you need to practice hammaring for some reason, good craft for that.

I use heavy white napkin cloth, so they're already made in the form of napkins. No need to cut or sew. Just fold and put on a table. They fade with time, but then you can pound away again. I got this from a craft magazine years ago. It was some craft an old man developed for crafting with his grand daughter. He loved it and so did she.
Thanks for best response.

Well I just lined up another sale in June....hopefully will have two that month...anyway I visited my friend in Wisconsin and she comes up with some simple ideas like I am making covered suckers....it's simple to do and takes just a little time....otherwise I am doing some things for fathers day....but it's my painting on glass....I finally wrote a fathers poem and learned how to paint cattails....hopefully they'll look like cattails! LOL

I love to knit. I'd like to find an easter bonnet knit or crochet pattern for my daughter and myself. How cute it would be to have hat for church on Easter Sunday. I guess I'll have a whole year to think about it. For now I am working on a spring sweater for myself. No pattern, just a recipe if you will for size and a lace pattern.

Hi carolbee,
I'm no good at these things and I really admire for what you have done in the past for you grand kids, I'm not clever enough with my hands. I hope you will find something.
Tamara
