Well, I used to live an extravagant life before but when i have moved out from my parents house, i've learned how to be practical/wise shopper.. Now, I don't buy things that aren't that important.. i just purchase things that i need and not that i want/desire.. i cut back from buying red meat, i cut back from doing lots of grocery shopping, i cut back from buying new stuff for the house, etc.. with the financial crisis, we should all learn how to live frugally..

I feel my family lives frugally for the most part. Like the last responder I have been called cheap on occassion. We do not own credit cards, so if we don't have the cash for something we don't get it. That really makes us think about purchases. I prefer to buy clothing at the thrift store because I don't see the point in paying the price for clothing, even at Wal-Mart. I don't buy expensive food when a cheaper version is available. Outside of our highspeed internet there isn't much our family could cut back on, to be honest. It's just a way of life for us, and we have lived this way for several years. We are not poor, in my opinion, but we don't live a life of luxury.
