To Jdrama watchers or fans... are you looking forward to a jdrama this season? If yes, what is it? I'm happy this season since 2 Arashi members have their drama XD 1. Smile starring Matsumoto Jun and Aragaki Yui 2. The Quiz show starring Sakurai Sho (-- another single for Arashi, yay!),Yokoyama Yuu and Matsuura Aya Nino will also star in drama SP (I think it will also be shown this spring) He co-stars Inoue Mao (aka Tsukushi and one of my favorite actress) Check out dramawiki for more upcoming Jdramas this season. So far, those three are what I found interesting. coz' I'm biased :p

yo! i'm looking forward on watching a lot of upcoming and currently airing J-dramas. in fact i'm already watching Atashinchi no Danshi with Horikita Maki as the lead character. and then i'll be watching God Hands Teru and, The Quiz Show Golden too. Other J-dramas that i'll be watching are Boss, the different characters seemed interesting to me even though i don't know the actors and actresses there; Konkatsu! because of Sato Ryuta, i'm wondering what kind of character he will portray here. i've seen him in Rookies and Bambino and he portrayed his roles there very well; and i think i'll add Hanchou in my list because of the actor who played Namikiri-san in Zettai Kareshi. ^^ i like Matsumoto Jun too but i'm kinda hesitant to watch Smile because he'll play as a Filipino-Japanese there and in a trailer i heard him speak Tagalog and i didn't like it. and then i read in some forum that the show might portray how Japanese look down on Filipinos and i would not certainly like that because i'm a Filipino and i like Japan and many things about Japan. its really rare for me to like a series that dwells on social issues. it doesn't entertain me much though its very educational. but hey, who knows. maybe i'll be curious enough to watch this drama. ^^

oh, i forgot to add, Jun's name in Smile will be Hayakawa Vito. Vito is the name of one of my gay friends! ^^;; just something that made me smile. and here's a list of some upcoming and currently airing J-dramas: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-441907/upcoming-jdrama-season-spring-2009/?pg=0

i've read the synopsis and indeed Vito is half-Filipino but has not been to Philippines. but that doesn't mean he wouldn't know how to speak Tagalog right? but if he will really not speak Tagalog in this drama, then i guess the trailer in youtube is misleading. because i heard him say "hindi ako, kayo". ^^ oh well, i might just watch this drama too. ^__~

I think Jun's character in Smile cannot speak Tagalog/Filipino. "Vito" (Jun)doesn't know the language since he lived his life in Japan. But, yes, Smile tackles about social issues, but the story is human to me, meaning, it portrays how a person with social complex struggles with life and try to live it with a smile. Hmm..I guess being half is part of his complex, but to make the other half, Filipino is because we have the image of being happy people? Well, I watch the drama in a viewer's POV, not really as a Filipino. I'm also curious about Atashinchi no Danshi, since Maki is one of my fav. Japanese actresses ^^ Thanks for responding ^^

I'm looking forward to "The Quiz Show Golden" or season 2. I watched the first two episodes only, and I already love it. It's so interesting! I sense an Arashi/JE-bias. xP

I found TQS2 interesting, the same feeling I get when I started watching Maou. I'm more hooked with this show than Smile *even if Jun is my ichiban T_T* I'm a sucker for suspense drama. Thanks for responding, anyway ^^
