It is a common practice in America I guess. Before you and your future spouse get married, you might consider the protection of your assets in the event of divorce. Would you ask your finance/financee to sign a prenuptial agreement before you decide to get married? Or it was an embarrassment to ask because you don't want to cause any discontentment between you and him/her?

If my fiancee will ask me the same thing, I will really get hurt. It only means one thing, she do not trust that I am marrying for love and my intention of being with her for the rest of my life. As such, I will not also asking her to sign any prenuptial agreement even if I have billions of assets to boot.

I GUESS NOT. we are not millionaires and fighting over a few bucks will be less of our worries because we are not like celebrities or sons and daughters of a tbusiness tycoon. so maybe its just saying "i do" and getting to that point is our main concern for now.

Generally, it is embrassing. But in these days it is must for each and every individual. Because in these days meaning of relationship is changing dramatically.

I would definetly consider asking about it. It is something you shouldn't mess with and you should not be embarassed.
