Do you believe in Santa Claus?

When I was in kid, I usually write a letter to Santa before Christmas, asking for all the toys and candies that I want. I also tell him that I have been obedient to my parents and nice sister to my siblings. But when I was 9 yrs. old, I caught my dad putting all toys and candies to the sock meant for Santa :) I didn't have any grudge to my dad then..in fact, it was just a validation that there is no real Santa and that the REAL Santa Claus are found in the hearts of the children who believe in him ...which I was before. How about you guys, do you believe in Santa? What are your experience/s in believing in him?

No, Santa Claus does not exist. He's only a fictional character inspired by the Greek Bishop, Saint Nicholas of Myra, who was famous for his generous gift-givings. Over time, Saint Nicholas have been pronounced as Santa Claus.

My experience is like you. When i was little, i believed that there is a Santa Claus, he can fly in the sky, and fly to everyhouse and give the gift to those well behavior kids. Now i am adult, i sure know there is no Santa Claus, but i still thanks him for bringing me so much joy in my childhood.

It's actually nice to assume that he exists, but it would and should remain an assumption. I remember when I was young, my sock would be filled with coins and my parents would say "Santa said don't get them yet, he will come back to give you more." I was in doubt at that time until one night, I saw Santa Claus dressed in yellow duster. :p

Hi all, I hardly celebrate Christmas and I know that Santa Claus is non- existence. However, Santa Claus is a legend that captures the heart of millions of Children. Santa Claus is a figure that cannot lack of during Chrismas. It is just one of the fairy tale in my heart.

no cause I was poor growing up, and we lived in a tiny trailer. Our chimney was a short metal tube coming out of the roof. There is no way Santa could have ever fit down that. And our parents told us right away that santa wasn't real.

Like you, when I was a kid my elders (my mom and aunt) made me believe that there was a Santa Claus. I also wrote a letter to him few days before Christmas telling him what I want and I put it in a stocking. Then on every Christmas Eve, I went to bed very early because they always told me that Santa would only give gifts to the children who were fast asleep. I stopped believing in him when I was 10 or 11 years old on where my aunt admitted that it was them all along. I know it's weird cause usually they won't do that to a child but it really happened. It was okay for me and I didn't get mad at them.

Actually, I never believed in Santa Claus even before because my parents told me right away that Santa is not true. But back then a part of me wished that he is true. I liked the idea of flying reindeers and magical fat man giving gifts to good children.

I believe that Santa Claus is the spirit of giving. That its not necessary to have a jolly old man that delivers gifts via flying reindeer. Its in the hearts of children and the adults that believe. I was told by a kid in school that Santa Claus wasnt real and told them that that wasnt true. I refused to believe them til my mom told me the same as what i said above and i believe that as well.

To tell you the truth,I don't remember believing in Santa Clause! I really don't! Of course I knew who he was and all that! I have tried to go back in my memory to see when this all happen and have no clue! I do remember hearing stories how other kids found out there was no Santa and what age they were at the time. I either didn't believe in Santa or did and learned at a very young age he wasn't real! Boy that sounds a little sad!

I dont think I've ever believed in Santa. He wasnt really a big part of our christmas. although to this day, Christmas still imparts some kind of magic that I just cant seem to point my finger at. christmas will always be magical, I guess, santa or no santa.

Yup! I also did believe in Santa Claus when I was a child, until I caught my mother, ha ha. I also write notes for Santa on the things I would have wanted him to give me. But none of them come true, he he. But, I think I will continue the tradition to my would-be children in the future.

I believe there was a St. Nick aka santa clause at one point and that made the tradition start... Like there was a Person who had a big heart in a certain town somewhere in the world and gave toys to all the kids near him ... then the tradition became wide spread and thats how the legend became true. It Is a grat thing for kids to believe in and to look forward to...

Well I obviously don't believe in Santa Claus now of course since I'm grown up. :) I think I stopped believing in Santa in Year One. I was six then. It's a young age to stop believing but I just realised that something like this can't be true and it's only for kids to believe in it so they are good and get presents. I remember me and my parents having a big argument about whether Santa Claus is real or not, but then I caught them putting the presents under the tree the next year writing on the tag, From "Santa". Ohh the good times!

I dont actually.I wasnt used to the Idea that Santa is the one giving us gifts. We never have those. But when I was a kid I never believed in Santa.I only knew that he only appears on the Tv Screen and not more than that. But whenever I think of him,I enjoy and feel happy to the Person who made him up.I mean, many kids are now getting good and obedient because they think Santa's Gonna give them some gifts. At least he/she made the children polite for once.hehe

Well ,I don't believe in Santa.I just believe in real things such as so many mylotter! It is a joke,I don't believe him because I do't need him.If I want something,I will work hard to get it when Santa can not help. However it is still good to believe in Santa because you can find something deep in your heart to depend on when you have a hard time.

When i was younger i did believe in him. My aunt would be our santa claus. Now of course i don't believe there is a santa claus but i do believe that he one day existed in just a town and they decided to continue the legacy by making him a "mith".
