Hey Mylotters , I just saw the movie Eagle Eye , and though it was a nice movie , it did freak me out. Immediately ,I recollected the old flick "Enemy of the State" , similar story , slightly older technology ..very similar theme . Now , these 2 flicks were sci-fiction , but I am believer that there is always a little bit of fact hidden behind every fictitious story ... this fact forms the basis of the fiction . And I began wondering , do you really think we are being watched by the govt ? Is it possible for them to keep voice records of all our phone calls , our emails , text messages , activate our cellular phones without our knowledge , hear our conversations even if our phones are not in use and just lying in our pockets ? I wonder to what extent technology has gone or maybe , to what extent it will go ... Imagine , that if google earth is available openly to civilians , what kind of information would be available to the authorities and military and to what sophisticated levels ? I wonder if our lives are ever private or personal ??? I would love to hear the views of people on this .. Cheers :)

Before I would have said yes. After 9-11 when we got a look at our security agencies, and our military programs close up, and found out just how far behind we really are, that movies are way beyond what we can do, then now I say no. Our government members can hardly even work a computer. They're just very good at making you think they're watching.
