one of my students once stole some money from his classmate . after that ,I really dont whether I could tell it to her mother . the girl is from a broken family and she lives with her mother now . later I decided not to do that ,but things alwasy go to the wrong way . one of my students secretly told the girl'mother that she stole some money from other students . more worse ,I dont know why the president of our school knew the thing, and publicly announced her fault . the girl finally left my shcool herself ,now she was selling fruits with her mother . I still feel unhappy when I think about the matter.

Aww...Poor girl..But that's very modest of you to decide not to tell her mother..Was she poor or something? Or was she stealing just for the fun of it? I guess these kind of news will always just somehow leak out to the public by someone who doesn't have enough compassion to keep such things to themselves..I know the president was just doing his job... But well he could have done a better job for the welfare of his students...

Well, what she did was wrong..she had to learn her lesson, but she learned it hard. Don't blame yourself. It was bound to happen.

this is so sad .. if you could have kept her in your class / college her life could have been turned around . I am a great believer in giving people a second chance and with your support and encouragment this girl could have had much to offer society . But it was not to be and certainly was not your fault ..

I know that you had a diffcult time and hard choice then.certainly as her teacher you have responsibility to protect her.also you did not want to harm to her.here what we can do is only sympathetic on her.

Well i think that the girl got some really hard punishment as she must have been given some warning first in person. But with the course of life , she would just understand the meaning of truth & being honest to others.

It is sad very sad my friend. Children are pure and innocent from their heart. They do things which they feel is right. If you do let them understand that things which they are doing is wrong in a good way then they will understand. I am afraid that this girl will again attempt to steal things. She is not in a good company there!

It's not your fault that the mother found out, although you were responsible in telling her and in telling the president about the incident. It would have been much better if it was resolved more peacefully - the president shouldn't also have embarrassed the young girl for what she did wrong no matter what the reason. Even if she was kicked out of the school, embarrassing her was no body's right. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

As sad as that may be, you can't really do anything about what already happened. If you are worried about the girl and want to try to help her in some other way, maybe you could go talk to her and offer to tutor her so she can still get an education. Maybe that would be enough to encourage her to go back to school.

To be the first, I really understand your uncomfortble feelings. Students should stay at school to have their knowlege, but you know, everyone must pay for their own fault, nobody can run away from that. This's the responsibility of education to tell the students what's right or wrong, and what shoul they do after they make a mistake. So, don't blame yourslef too much, you'd better to chat with that girl's mother and let her back to school.

I think it's not your fault that decided not to tell her mom. But i am not sure if you talked to her after all those things happen. As a teacher, you have the responsibility to tell your student what is the right thing to do. I think she will understnad someday when she grow up.

Hi rocketsky Its sad to hear this matter as the girl has left the school and selling fruits with her mother. The girl have done a mistake but that does not mean she would not realize her mistake. Maybe you can choose to speak to her mother to bring her back to the school. Regards Thanusha

i am not happy with what school president had done.may be teachers can discuss this case of the girl, and call this girl secretly and make her understand the seriousness of her deeds. After then also if she is continue to do this fault teachers can talk to her parents. without doing publicly showing her fault was not a good idea frm the school staffs. anyway happen is happen

I think as a teacher it is your resposibility to inform her mother of the matter and to talk to the girl regarding her issue, you might have been able to prevent things from recurring and her eventual stopping school. Its a pity that the girl is no longer able to attend school. I think the principal also did the wrong thing announcing the little girl's mistakes, now she will be labelled for life to be a thief.
