Yes, puppies are cute. I love dogs and I have one pet dog which is an in-house dog. She is so cute and barks a lot. But I wish I have another one that can be a companion to my present dog.

It's so nice that your neighbor has the same breed of dog as yours too, then your dog can make a new friend and have fun with the dog always. I like to bring my dog for a walk always, so that she can have fun with other dogs in my neighborhood. I can make some new friends too. Your Schnauzer is cute!

If u let your dog outside to meet this new friend he will get more familiar and the barking may stop or subside.
