I'm actually dating a guy who I became extremely good friends with and I think by becoming close friends it allowed me to see we were compatible to make it something else. I've never dated a guy based on his looks though. To me its superficial and its not something that is going to make any relationship last so that is probably my biggest reasoning for becoming friends with someone and knowing them on a different level before trying to take it to something higher. Plus something I've always tried to accomplish - with more failures than successes - is to end the relationship on a good note. But that is the thing a lot of people don't like hearing the words, I just don't see it working out, or it was fun but this isn't what I'm looking for. Sometimes you're lucky and you can continue talking - even if it might take a few months or years, but other times you've lost a friend and its a price to pay.

That happened to me. It came quite unexpectedly. We met at college and we really hit it off - as friends. She had a boyfriend, and we knew we would always be friends. Bur I did fall in love with her. I never told her and the reason is because what happened to you. We met in 1981, and we still talk and e-mail each other. I think we would feel we lost someone big in our life if we ended up not speaking to each other. Now, I have someone, but I do wonder sometimes.

well, that's not cool... once... there was a time when one of my friends showed he has a thing fo me but all i could think of him was he's like a big brother to me so we still are friends until we had an argument because he caught me smoking and he told me to stop. I don't really smoke so I know I won't smoke but then I don't want him to think that I don't smoke anymore because he said so... I don't want him to have the wrong idea about it so I old him I'd stop if I wanted to and it started an argument. We haven't spoken in a while because I'm now here in Jeddah but maybe when I go back home, I'll be able to hang out with him again... I also had a crush on one of my friends but its just crush... nothing deep or serious so we're still friends...

Hi pinoymelancholy, well according to me every love story begins with friendship. If a person is not my friend then how will I understand him or her .And to be in love understanding is very important.Hence I will always prefer a friend as my girlfriend .And as far as the question of Crush goes it can be on any one,my first crush was on my history teacher in class 4...........so

not all love stories begin with friendship so youre right that is just according to you, and it is harder to have someone who is your friend be your girlfriend because you already built something together and it could be jeopardize because of you 2 being involve
