“I frankly don’t understand all the brouhaha lately from Congress and even from some of my colleagues about referring to foreign law.”
“Why shouldn’t we look to the wisdom of a judge from abroad with at least as much ease as we would read a law review article written by a professor?”
These are quotes Ruth "Buzzi" Ginsberg recently spoke at a symposium at Moritz College of Law in Columbus, Ohio.
Um, Ginsberg you ignorant s1ut! The problem with it is, YOU'RE JOB! You are there to make decisions based on the US Constitution, not the whims of some foriegn leader... or even yourself!Ginsberg has been a load of fecal matter polluting the bench of the US Supreme Court for far too long! She is as incompetent as a monkey doing surgery.
She deserves the same contempt by Americans as she shows the US Constitution!http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/12/us/12ginsburg.html?partner=rss&emc=rss

Then why have the Constitution to begin with? Judges are not to be looking towards foreign law no more than they should be looking towards some law professor for legal advise. The scare thing is that Obama, the man who duty it is to uphold the Constitution, believes the same non sense.

If she doesn't want to do HER JOB which is making decisions BASED ON THE CONSTITUTION of the United States, she should not be allowed to keep that job!

Some judges just want to write law from the bench and I guess she's one of them. You're right. The Supreme Court's job is to simply determine whether or not a law is constitutional or not. And by constitutional, that means the U.S. constitution, not some other countries' constitution. Some judges, her being one of them, want to expand their power beyond that, and that in itself is unconstitutional.
If Ruth likes some other countries' laws better than ours then let her go be a judge in that country. But if she wants to continue to be a Supreme Court judge in the U.S. then she needs to follow the U.S. constitution and stop referring to some other countries' laws or judicial decisions.
