Volunteering Opportunities For African citizens

Hello everyone. I was wondering if any one of you may know of any American/European organisations that accept African Volunteers. I have an friend from Malawi in Africa and She is very interested in volunteering as she has some time off. The problem is A lot of African Volunteer organisations charge enormous fees and American/European organisations do not generally accept African voulnteers. It's a very common misconceptions that africans can only be helped and not be in a position to help others. Some organisation believe that Africans only want to use the volunteering service as a means of entering the country and staying there illegally so they dont assist in visa applications. Actually those that do accept African volunteers strictly say they do not assist in Visas. In fact visas is not a problem for my friend as she is financially stable as she owns her own Forex business, has a beautiful four bedroom house with a massive backyard that can fit four more houses. I know that anyone can volunteer on a visit/tourist visa. So if anyone knows of a volunteer organisation who can accept African volunteers and don't charge you your life savings please let me know.
