Fav current cast member?

Who's your favorite current SNL cast member? I think Kristen Wiig is very talented, but not my type of laugh-out-loud funny. I really like Bill Hader and Andy Samberg. I loved Kenan Thompson on All That when I was a kid, so I kind of like him, too.

I also like Andy Samberg, Kenan Thompson and Bill Hader as well. I also like that guy that plays Joe Biden in the political sketches. And I agree about Kristen Wiig. Her characters are always really awkward and almost uncomfortable to watch.

Kenan Thompson would have to be my choice. More of a slapstick type of comedy rather than the dry stand-up type of comedy the others bring. I was around when the original cast of SNL was introduced to TV and that was the whole point of the show... to push the envelope of what could be seen on TV (along with the Smuthers Brothers and Laugh-In). I think SNL has lost what they originally set out to do and has progresssively gotten more and more bland. MadTV came out and tried to recapture the early days of SNL but it just came off as silly.
